Learn the sounds of English. There are 26 English letters; however, there are 44 English sounds. The way we speak English is different then the way we write it. Learning the English sounds, with a focus on the 15 vowel sounds, will help you with your pronunciation, comprehension, and writing.
Learn how to divide words into syllables. Syllables are the music of English. There are 7-syllable patterns in English. Knowing the syllable types will help you read and pronounce English by taking you to the next level.
Copy how NATIVE speakers say words. Repeat after a NATIVE speaks. It is similar to playing a sport. You need to practice with the correct muscles to speak well. I recommend practicing 15-minutes everyday modeling after a NATIVE English speaker.
Learn the English stress patterns. Some parts of English words are louder. Learn which parts to say louder. This helps to make your words sound natural.
Practice minimal English pairs. When learning English, it is difficult to hear the short English vowel sounds. Minimal pronunciation pairs are a great way to practice. Examples are: bit/bot; sit/sat; tot/tut; then/than…
